Wreck Diving Adventure

Wreck diving offers an exhilarating experience for advanced divers, allowing you to explore sunken vessels that have become thriving artificial reefs. These sites provide a fascinating glimpse into history while attracting a wealth of marine life. Due to the depth and conditions, wreck dives are only available for Advanced certified divers or higher.

Kled Kaew Wreck

The Kled Kaew, a former Royal Thai Navy transport support vessel, was intentionally sunk in 2014 to create an artificial reef. This 50-meter-long wreck sits at a maximum depth of 27 meters near Phi Phi Leh. Several access points allow skilled divers to explore the ship’s interior, offering a thrilling experience of navigating through history.

Marine life quickly made this wreck their home, and today it is covered in thriving coral and bustling with schools of snappers. Lionfish and scorpionfish can often be spotted resting on the wreck, while yellow-tailed barracuda hunt in shimmering formations around the structure. The wreck provides an excellent opportunity for underwater photography, with its eerie yet beautiful atmosphere enhanced by great visibility on clear days.

Marine life swimming around the wheelhouse of the King Cruiser Wreck near Phuket, Thailand

King Cruiser Wreck (No Longer Dived)

The King Cruiser was a car ferry that sank in 1997 after striking the Anemone Reef on its way to Phuket. Resting at a depth of 30 meters, this wreck quickly became one of Thailand’s most famous dive sites, attracting a variety of marine life, including large schools of trevally, barracuda, and snapper. Over the years, the structure of the wreck has deteriorated, with sections collapsing, making it an unstable and unsafe dive site. Due to these safety concerns, we no longer offer dives at the King Cruiser wreck.

Hin Daeng, Hin Muang Expedition

Please note: This dive site is closed by the national park from 15th May to 15th October each year for marine conservation

Hin Daeng and Hin Muang are two of Thailand’s most breathtaking deep-water dive sites, located in the open ocean south of Phi Phi Island. Known for their dramatic submerged pinnacles, these sites are a paradise for experienced divers seeking thrilling encounters and incredible marine biodiversity. One of the highlights of these dives is the opportunity to spot majestic manta rays gliding gracefully through the blue. While not guaranteed, sightings of these gentle giants add an extra layer of excitement to an already spectacular dive.

Hin Daeng (Red Rock) is named after the vibrant red soft corals that coat its steep walls. Dropping down to depths of over 60 meters, this site attracts large pelagic species, including barracudas, trevallies, and the occasional whale shark. Schools of fusiliers swirl around the reef, while giant moray eels and camouflaged scorpionfish hide among the coral formations.

Hin Muang (Purple Rock) lies just a short distance away and is famous for its breathtaking underwater ridge, covered in stunning purple soft corals. The site features dramatic vertical drops and narrow plateaus, creating an ideal habitat for hunting predatory fish such as tuna and rainbow runners. Divers can also find an abundance of macro life, including nudibranchs, shrimp, and colorful anemones.

These sites are best suited for advanced divers due to strong currents and deep drop-offs. The clear, blue waters provide excellent visibility, making them a photographer’s dream and a must-visit for those looking for an adrenaline-filled dive adventure.
